Well today was a fail

Yeah nothing about Italy today, just and old school stuff. I couldn't find a good time to talk to her. However it's benn haunting me ever since about how if I dont do it soon I'll just loose hope. I'm goin to Siracusa as the locals say it tomorrow. Checking out old Greek tuna factories and a beach? I don't know but I'll update you Friday. Hopefully with better news :) -Jacob Hatfield

Weekend and today

Hey what's up everyone :) Well as most people know it was memorial day weekend last week. And as every American knows we like to grill during this time. :) so we went down to our local market ( about a 20 min drive ) in Catania. The smell was amazing of all the different foods. There was a fish market with a WHOLE swordfish head on a cutting board! Also live eels, squid you name it they have it fresh. Well we got a few kebabs to cook from there. Along with olive oil, cherrys and strawberries. They were really good :). But that's my Italian part of this blog entry OH btw before I have to correct anyone, I live in SICILY a island just south of Italy. But we got Monday off from school so that was nice. Today I had to catch up on projects and homework in science and history. No one did the science project. But Ive decided that I'm totally over my ex. Done, no more, gone, ending all thoughts. I've swapped between a few people here who I might like but there all usually taken or I'm just too chicken. Although the past week I've been talking to a girl here Isabella ( I prob spelt her name wrong or something :( but she's in 7th grade. And i totally keep on accidentally tripping her or something in soccer which makes me feel really bad :( but I might ask her out tomorrow. I think some people here will be like ok wtf why would he go out with her. But I don't care :) I date who I want. And if we're happy then I'm fine. But rejection is always a option. Anyways on the topic of relationships Theres a kid here named Matt who is cool and all but is a totall ass to his gf. I mean first he goes out with her, then breaks up with her for someone else then gets back together with her breaks up again and then gets back together. Ok 2 chance is the only one ill allow. If they screw up twice then there just cheaters. Well I guess I'm running outta stuff to gossip about lol. Intro

Hello everyone! Just to start my name is Jacob Hatfield. Im currently living overseas in Sicily (a island part of Italy) my dad is in the millitary but for safety reasons (I don't want achmead to bomb me) Im not going into detail lol :) but i go to a school on the millitary base and I've been here for about 3 months. I just came from England. I lived there for three years and it was a amazing experience. I'm currently 14 years old and I've lived overseas since I was half way through 5th grade or I just turned 11 at the time. Anyways living overseas isn't always fun. 1. You only see your family once a year or possibly 2 years and your around people from a different county which may not always be friendly. 2. You don't ever live in one place for more then 2-3 years so you only get your friends for a bit then you have to move. It's quit sad but with Facebook it can help. Another annoying part about being a millitary child is you can't keep a relationship for long..... I just recently was in a relationship with a girl that was long distance (she moved to the states) but I was sick of not seeing her and sick of everything so I broke up with her. So I'm now trying to find a girlfriend here but with such a small school theres not a lot of choice. When I first came here a girl (Gabi I'll get to her later) told me about another girl named Italia (ironic right?) who likes me here but at the time I was in a long distance relationship with the other person. So I didn't pay any attention. But slowly I realized that I made a huge mistake and got back together with her...then broke up with her again... And before some girl comes on here and is all like (YOUR SUCH A JERK TREATING HER LIKE THAT) sorry but F*** you! You think I ment to hurt her? Anyways... Today's thursday and on Monday I hung out with a couple of kids here. Josh, Gavin, Matt and dylan. After hanging with them for a bit Matt Gavin and Dylan went to the other base with the housing. I live out in town (aka surrounded by Italians) so I didn't go with them. I hung out with josh for the rest of the time and I talked to him about who's single here. I got some info but I like Gabi. She's been nice to me ever since I got here and she's got a great personatilty. Not to mention pretty. But I bought josh a soda and some chips and he said he would pay me back (yeah I know your like who cares but it gets interesting) I said I'd wipe the debt if he asked if she was single. He Said ok but I'm still waiting for him to ask. It's been a stressful week waiting for the answer. But also the girl I was going out with got another bf so now I don't feel guilty if I go out with someone here. I just don't know how I should go about this. I wouldn't say I'm jealous of that other guy just... Worried. Btw Italian pizza Is AMAZING. We have a pizza shop down the street and there really. Nice and they make pizza in a stone baked oven. With wood on the inside for the heat no ovens. Anyways I live right by a volcano called mount etna. I can see it from school and my house. I nearly live on the base of it! It's Europe's most active volcano so I'm a little nervous. But yeah I think thats a good intro :) I'll be sure to update you about the places I visit and everything and my social life. OH btw I'm ending 8th grade :D forgot to mention that. But anyways I hope you all will enjoy my blog and I know I'm bad at it now but I'll make it more organized.
